What to use to join car aerial cable?

Any idea what sort of connector I can use to splice 2 lengths of what I presume is normal car (FM) aerial (coax?) cable? One end is still in the car.... Wanted to avoid buying specific crimping tooling if possible
I don’t know how perfect it would be but you could just joking the inner and then the outer and it should work. The best way is to replace the whole lot.
Yeah I know the best way is to replace the lot but the car isn't worth a fortune and I don't want to drop the head lining more importantly!
I guess just soldering the core and the shield, keeping them separate should work shouldn't it?
I'll need to support the cable afterwards and make sure it wont be susceptible to any movement.

Tool free i would go for either screw on f type if the coax centre core is solid, or screw on bnc if its stranded, plug on each end then a back to back coupler, then wrap it in insulating tape to avoid a ground loop from the metal plug touching the chassis.
Thats the proper way. Connector block does work, but throws out the impedance a bit, probably not critical unless your signal is already marginal.

Tease out the screen to form a wire, pull the inner conductor through on both ends fit heat shrink sleeving then solder both together.
Use a thin piece of wire to join the two screen tails, solder both
Belt and braces wrap the finished joints with electrical tape, make sure you do not touch the sticky surface of the tape, the oils in your skin and dust will prevent proper adhesion.
