Dash Can windscreen attachment
Discussion
I suppose it depends how 'hot' is 'hot', the quality of the sticky pad, and how clean/oily the screen was when affixed.
My dashcams (Nextbase 512GW, and a Transcend one I had before that) have been stuck in my car for about 8 years...and the only time they ever came off is when I have my windscreen replaced...and then the sticky pad is replaced with a clear 3M VHB 4910 piece.
Same stuff holds my toll tags too.

I've had a few Nextbase cameras and found I have to stick on the suction cups maybe once per year. Usually in temperature changes such as really hot or really cold. Otherwise, it's not a problem. I don't like the permanent feel of the adhesive things but the rest of Nextbase's stuff seems to be high quality so I've got no reason to believe their adhesive pads won't be anything but spot on either.
Suction cups are big and ugly and fall off. The 3M adhesive strips dry out in the sun and are then a bugger to remove if you need to reposition the dashcam. I use Tesa Powerstrips large size (search for 58000-00104-02, about £4 for a box on Amazon) which work great with a Nextcam mount and can be removed in seconds. I also use them to mount France/Spain motorway tags - ideal for hire cars
