Just purchased a second hand 05 Audi TT, the radio has constant Interference.

Pulled the radio and checked the aerial was connected.

The aerial doesn't seem to have the original but a stubby one.

People have said about an in-built aerial amp ?

Second aerials seem to go for 90 quid, seems an expensive way to see if it improves the reception !

Don't know what else I can test/check for ?

Any sort of 12v to USB charger, dashcam or similar in the car? Cheap power supplies often put out RF or ground loop interference which plays havoc with radio reception.

Just pop a bit of wire as an aerial, around a metre long. If it is a “stubby “ type very often they are powered. If it is a powered aerial you will get a bit of FM but no MW or LW with no power to it.
