Pioneer SPH-DA120 USB port 1 not working
Discussion
I’ve had this unit installed in my car for 3 years now and haven’t had any problems. Last week, the unit stopped recognizing/charging my iPhone. I haven’t updated the unit since I bought it so I assumed that was probably the issue. I went to update it, but it won’t recognize the flash drive to update. I’ve tried 3 different flash drive brands & sizes as well as multiple lightning cords to connect my iPhone and it doesn’t recognize anything. (As a side note, one of the flash drives lights up when it’s plugged in and it does light up, but the system still doesn’t recognise it.)
Another weird part is that USB Port 2 will recognize and charge anything, but with this system you have to use Port 1 for CarPlay and to update the unit. Has anybody dealt with this or have any ideas on a possible solution? Thanks in advance!

I would guess that one of:
regular use of the port has damaged/bent the connectors;
something has gotten onto the connectors and stopped them making good contact (corrosion to the copper, or physically, like crumbs/dust/muck);
soldering of the port into the unit has failed on one or more points.
But I've never had any luck getting dodgy USB connectors working again, so I'd find an expert
