Snooper that works ?

That's probably the target blue eye. It works by detecting the close proximity of police vehicles by picking up the radio frequencies from the Police radio system.
That's the only one worth spending money on if you feel the need, nobody else provides a product that will detect the cameras quicker than you can react. The mobile phone options like Waze are the best now, but they won't detect when a police vehicle is near, only stationary ones that have been reported by other users. It works very well.
Not sure if the Target Blue Eye is GPS enabled to warn of fixed cameras though, but Google will have the answer.

Don't speed is one option.
I am not in a good mood this evening but was scrolling through this thread out of general interest. Why is there always some puritan who makes ridiculous comments like this? Of course we are all aware that if you don't exceed the speed limit you won't get caught and for the most part I do stick within the rules (approximately). But I would guess most of us (with few exceptions) stray a little from time to time and to come across a revenue collector sitting on a motorway bridge or hiding behind a hedge is infuriating and sneaky. So anything that warns in advance is helpful. Waze is remarkably good for a free app. littleredrooster said:

Probably a bot Thanks all for taking the time to respond, I’ve had many years but then plod has decided to hide in the hedge in the middle of nowhere and hey presto 9 points! I wouldn’t mind if they were in areas of high risk, anyway it is what it is but if plod is going to hide in the hedgerows I ought to get equipped.
Generally I find they are positioned so that you are in direct line of their speed gun the moment you come around a corner or over a blind brow. No time to brake to avoid the fine/points.
I know and accept that keeping to the speed limits isn't a popular concept on here, as our cars are capable of so much more. I used to speed like many others, until I lost my licence for over 100 on a motorway in the 1980s. Shortly after that I had a major accident on the M11 when doing about 80, and realised that if I had been doing 70 I might have fared a lot better. That slowed me down and made my passengers' trips more relaxed.
Then I got into track days, and found that being able to lap at illegal speeds and hit 135 on the back straight at Snetterton dealt with most of my need for speed on the public road.
Good luck avoiding those last 3 points - tricky time for you.

(Sorry seems I’ve offended someone with the hedgerow humour ! ( ok adjacent to a long hedge on the outskirts of a market town ) hope that eases your anxiety QBee said:

Snipping just your first paragraph out. The method I use is not to exit a bend or a brow at well above the speed limit if there could be a van lurking on the next straight. It is just an extension of the driving at a speed set by the distance you can see to be clear. Gassing Station | In-Car Electronics | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
