Anyone know about Pittasoft dash cams?
Discussion
Anyone know about these?
We’ve got one in a car we bought and, whilst it is running, we know nothing about it.
I witnessed an incident this morning and will offer the dash cam footage to plod if it is accessible. However, a quick Google suggests that this may be a cloud storage type device.
Does anyone know if it has onboard storage? If so can I access it despite not being the original owner? If it’s cloud only I presume that because we have no account there’s no storage.

Looks like a Blackvue DR650S dash camera - around 5-6 years old now but still see them going strong.

If it is cloud storage how is it getting to the internet? Either old owners Wi-Fi ( which presumably you don’t live in range) or a data sim, which I’m not sure any cams have
They can be paired to a Wifi Hotspot dongle from any network provider hardwired into the vehicle or the new X series dash cameras can add on a CM100 LTE module which allows the dash camera to chew into 40GB of Vodaphone data for £4 a month, allowing remote live viewing, remote downlaods, remote playbacks and unlimited live pushed notifications of impact detected when parked. You can also buy a DR750 LTE which has the data sim built in already on the above mentioned Vodaphone plan. If it is cloud storage how is it getting to the internet? nope you can clearly see its marked 4k
and the op has already posted he got the data from the SD card
I would be inclined to agree with you - I didn't notice the mount, I just seen how bright that recording light was (deep orange) which is how it looked on the earlier 650 models - newer models have a much more washed out normal recording orange LED. Plus the photos missing the rose gold/bronze bezel (could just be bad lighting) around LED indicators which all 900S cameras have to identify the casing is a 4k camera. and the op has already posted he got the data from the SD card
Either way, it's a nice camera the OP has inherited, not many customers tend to leave that sort of equipment in the vehicle when they sell.

He clearly wasn't bothered about spending money that he would not recover, hence the gift of a dash cam!
