Badly need to get a phone kit and bluetooth fitted properly to replace the £5 dongle i got for the interim and has lasted months.

I have a 2007 Volvo C70 with an Aux In and power socket and it has the old phone system built in. I would have liked to use this but can’t work out a way of doing everything quickly.

I’m thinking of getting the Pure Highway 600, it’s only £70 from Amazon and seems the neatest solution for now. I don’t need DAB and might not put the aerial up but it seems to be the easy way to take calls, and connect to Spotify, without rewiring half the car.

Has anyone got a better unit or suggestion to link in with the old Volvo kit in any other way? I use Spotify a lot and need a decent dash-mounted phone system like this or the old Parrots.

I’ve got the Alexa Auto in the Saab. I’ve hardwired it in with a dash cam kit so there’s no cables visible, Alexa’s tucked away in the centre console. Aux is ran through the shifter tunnel & into the middle glove box.

Works well enough for me. Only gripe is I can’t connect my DAC to it for better Sound Quality (CD Quality over BT) but it’s decent enough and miles better than the Aux cable on its own. I use Amazon Music HD, Waze, phone calls work fine.

Great thanks, will it work with Spotify for streaming?
Did you need to wire in a microphone and how?

Yes works, but you have to link Spotify to the Alexa app, got it working then asked it to play something else and it cancelled Spotify and went onto the Amazon Music app

No need to wire in a microphone, there’s 8 small holes on the Alexa that’s the microphone, as long as it’s not covered/hidden somewhere and it can pick up your voice it works fine. Works well even with the music high. Pretty good, these should be around £30 in the BF sales?

Thanks for trying. Nothings perfect with a 15 year old car, but it sounds OK. Does the call handling work ok?

Yes works fine. It’s a decent little upgrade in mine the standard audios awful and difficult to upgrade unless you bypass the entire system & fit a single din. Saab dropped the ball on these 9-3’s!
