Tracker recommendation

I'm struggling to get a certain 'f duct' company to activate a tracker already on my car. So I may as well go somewhere else. Any recommendations please?
I have a tracker from www.tracker.co.uk which works well as does the app.Paynewright said:
I’ve read in several places that if the person ‘borrowing’ your vehicle has an iPhone they get notified there is a dongle nearby. Apple track the dongle by getting pings on iPhones nearby apparently!
Yes it uses low energy Bluetooth to send out its identifier, which is picked up by nearby iPhones. These iPhones send their own location, along with the tag identifier back to Apple. If an iPhone detects a tag is ‘following’ it, and that tag isn’t liked to the iPhones iCloud account, it will notify the user.
It’s to prevent them being used to stalk people/for other nefarious purposes.
It would take a few days for it to alert the user of a stolen car due to the pattern of the phone/tag co-locating.
I have had a number of Trackers over the years, from my perspective I think that finding the car is a bonus for my insurance company, I’m not too sure that I would want the car back after it had been found…..When my wife’s Discovery was stolen a few years ago, it averaged 48mph over 3 miles of speed hump strewn roads.
Vodafone automotive seemed to be the most polished product, but many systems now seem to demand that you carry a dongle, and some of the dongles cannot be attached to your keys ( the Porsche system goes as far as having a dongle without holes for your key ring which is very annoying as you have to pop it in your pocket )
So, I now have a Scorpion tracker that has an integrated immobiliser, the fob can be attached to the main car key. It was an extra £100 or so over a standard immobiliser, but the car can’t be started without the tracker ( proximity) dongle which is broadly convenient - it’s only shortcoming is that you have to attempt a ‘car start’ twice ( in reality pressing the start/stop button 2 times extra) as the system recognises the immobiliser

I have a ScorpionTrack S5 Plus.
It has movement detection if the cars towed away, battery disconnect detection, GPS tracking monitored by them 24/7 over cell phone networks.
But the biggest selling point for me is it also has a separate immobiliser keyfob to stop key cloning or hot wiring. On a night I keep the keyfob separately from the car keys so even if a thief manages to steal the keys, they wont be able to start the engine.
A technician came out to by workplace to fit it.
Yearly subscription is £129
To combat key cloning, I recommend keeping the car key overnight in a faraday bag which blocks the signal.

As a victim of house break ins and theft. Its not about getting the car back but about fking over those criminals. The harder I can make it for them and ruin their operation, the better.Edited by Mr Miata on Tuesday 9th November 12:11
