Incorrect radio code for Ford ka

Hi all
We’ve just bought my daughter her first car and the only problem is the radio. The previous owner had the code but thought it was the wrong one. He tried it many times and the radios now just says wait.
We have tried disconnecting the battery to reset it but this made no difference.
Does anyone know how long you have to wait? And whether you have to have just the radio on or the ignition as well?

We’ve recently bought our daughter her first car. It’s a Ford Ka 2011.

It’s a lovely little car, however, the radio doesn’t work and the code given to us with the car doesn’t work.

The radio is a Fiat B420 Low and the serial number is 5230282232231004204335.

There are other numbers on the label but none work when we put them in to the code generators online.

Apart from an expensive visit to Ford, is there any other way of getting the code?

That’s a long serial number, most are 7 or 8 numbers! Are the numbers broken up as it were ?

the standard Ka radio is absolute bobbins, so your best course of action is to fit a new DAB radio, it'll cost about £150 all in.
