Android Auto not connecting
Discussion
5-weeks ago, I bought a Pioneer SPH DA230DAB for my Boxster and connected via USB to my MotoG6 running Android 9. It has always struggled to connect quickly.
On Sunday it kept dropping the connection, so I uninstalled and reinstalled Android Auto. Now it will not connect at all. Google updated Android Auto at the end of July I have tried all the obvious things like restoring the head unit and rolling back to an older version of A A. etc etc. The retailer demonstrated that it works fine with Android 11 and iPhone using the same USB cable which I have also tried an alternative.
The one thing that does stand out is MTP, my phone shows this message
While the head unit displays this
If you select Android Auto, it disconnects. If i try to select Tethering, or File transfer, the phone simply reverts back to No data Transfer.
Has anyone any ideas of how to get out of this?
Thanks for your advice
