Dashcam with GPS that can show route driven
Discussion
Hi all.
I'm looking for a great quality dashcam, where I can download the route taken that day. We are going out to Europe for a weeks hooning, and would like to be able to download footage and route each day. Ideally route overlayed on a map in the way that 'Relive' does for cycling.
I'd like something with awesome quality image so I don't have to have a Go Pro mounted on the window to film the scenic bits.
So far I've been looking at the Nextbase 622, but not sure if it does the route thing.
Any advice or suggestions would be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance!

My Nextbase 522GW does, so I'm sure the 622 would too.
However, remember that dashcams - at least the nextbase - save footage in short chunks of a few minutes. So you won't get a map overlay of the days route - you'll get 100 overlays in 3 min chunks.........
Hmm that's a good point. Have you ever tried to join the clips up in an edit? Is there a slight gap between the files? The 522 looks decent. Not sure if the 622 is worth the extra - are you happy with it?

I bought it specifically because it had Alexa built in which makes it very easy to stream from my phone with voice commands. The 522 looks decent. Not sure if the 622 is worth the extra - are you happy with it?
It seemed to work ok, so I bought another one for my other car - and discovered the app can only link to one camera. So that was a bit annoying.
Even on a single car, the Alexa stuff was a bit flaky, so I've bought Alexa Auto for both cars. But as a camera, it seems to work well.

Thank you. I ended up going to Halfords and having a look at them all, and opted for a Nextbase 522. Havent had time to play with it properly yet, but early indications look good.
