Meta Trak - should I bother?
Discussion
I recently purchased an "Approved Used" Mercedes and came across these in the glove box.
Salesman said it was some sort of tracking system. Presumably there is a gizmo secreted on the car somewhere?
Any thoughts / experience gentlemen? Worth contacting company and carrying on the subscription? Any better systems?

I have a MetaTrak on my Alfa. On the very rare occasion that the car has dropped out of range of being detectable on GPS, or seen to be moving when the key is not with the car (I once or twice didn't change the Status when it was on a ferry for example) the call team has been very vigilant.
Not expensive for peace of mind, and my insurance company wouldn't talk to me without one anyway.

I’ve had a Metatrak S5 Deadlock system on my car for 18 months. Easy to use, straightforward and smaller I am told than a lot of other systems thus difficult to find. The tracking unit and immobiliser are in different locations so find one and you still haven’t got the other.
I’ve been far more impressed than my older Tracker UK purchases which gave countless false alarms on numerous cars. No issues with the Meta.
