Hi. Wonder if anyone can help with an old car radio that I want to fit in my 1974 classic car. My dad found a box of them in the back of his garage, but the only one with a decent front and with all the knobs intact is a Sanyo FT4400M which I believe is from the late 70’s, so reasonably suitable for my cars period. I think the basic wiring is reasonably obvious - it has 2 fused wires on the back I assume will be a permanent and an ignition controlled power supply and the speaker cables are obvious, but there is also this block connector (bottom of the picture) which has 5 small wires (black/orange/white/green/blue) in a 6 pin plug. My guess would be perhaps aux in and/or aerial power, but I cannot find any info online. Any help greatly appreciated.

Possibly remote controls for volume etc?

Should work without them.

Ah yes, could be. Would be nice if it was Aux In as I’d like to put a hidden DAB and Bluetooth module in...

I think there are people who can add that. I’ll see what I can find.
