Apple Car Play - ‘plop’ sound

When connecting my iPhone by cable to my car and open up Car Play I’m getting a constant ‘plop’ sound every 5 seconds which ruins my music listening. Like the sound of dripping water.

Any suggestions please?

I'd try another cable first if at all possible or make sure there's nothing in your charging port to rule that out.

Sounds like a connection error since it's happening every 5 seconds.

Tried different cables but no success.

I can prevent the plop sound by turning my phone to silent, but I assign it's a connectivity issue, or a notification of some sort?
