recommendations for decent dashcam ?
Discussion
Looking for a decent dashcam for someone who is out alot in th car and wanting to capture any incident.
recommendations for something that gets decent video and easy to operate.
what record time am I looking for and what do i need to think about in terms of performance and specifications etc.
any advice ?

I have a Next Base 412GW dashcam from Halfords. Seems very good quality footage, day or night, rain or shine.
I bought it after a couple of near misses and a friend having a disputed accident resolved by her footage.
Typically, in the three years I have had it, nothing of note has happened! Which is good I suppose......

I've a couple of Next Base as well - was bought the first one as a present by my parents after they were in an accident where a car several in front of them on the motorway lost control. Bought an identical one to go in my other car. Normally works well, once you've wound the sensitivity right down else tap the brakes and it thinks you're in a crash and locks that video slice, however I do find they occasionally crash, seen by no image change on the viewer.
From my experience the NextBase 322GW and 422GW are the best at their price points right now (£90 and £120) with really good picture quality, parking mode, rear camera add-ons (which I highly recommend) and a host of other features. If you're looking for something higher spec with 4K, etc the Viofo 129 Duo is very good but more expensive of course.
