Hi All

Are any other manafactures doing old style classic car radios like the Blaupunkt Bremen?

I cant stand the modern styling all flashing lights and tiny buttons, what I want is something that looks like a classic Becker, Nakamichi, Blaupuntk but with modern electronics.

I think the standard answer seems to be the Blaupunkt Bremen SQR46 DAB...or one of the truck-like Continental ones.

I bought one of the continental ones recently. I'm quite pleased with it. Like the OP I wanted something with no disco lights.

That looks good. Anything with an LCD screen that isn't just a tiny video display looks quite pleasingly retro these days. Where did you get it from, was it imported from Germany? I haven't imported anything recently and I'm concerned it's now an expensive pain in the arse.

Many of those retro style Continental units are designed for trucks and so have 24v electrics. So, make sure you get the 12v version.

It is a shame you cant get an 80's digital head unit modified for DAB or blue tooth whilst you can get the old valve type modified...
