I think the standard answer seems to be the Blaupunkt Bremen SQR46 DAB...or one of the truck-like Continental ones.

I bought one of the continental ones recently. I'm quite pleased with it. Like the OP I wanted something with no disco lights.Riff Raff said:

That looks good. Anything with an LCD screen that isn't just a tiny video display looks quite pleasingly retro these days. Where did you get it from, was it imported from Germany? I haven't imported anything recently and I'm concerned it's now an expensive pain in the arse.Rostfritt said:
