Evening all, does anyone have a Parrot MKi9200 that they use with an iPhone SE 2020 or other new iPhone?

I’m looking at getting one for the daily hack but seeing a bit of info saying my phone (or other new iPhones) wouldn’t be compatible!?

My z4 has the mki9100 (I think) and my iPhone 12 generally works fine with it.

Personally though I would look for a more integrated solution if I was fitting it myself - the parrot kits are end of life now so any for sale is all NOS.

What car do you have?

Hi Ste,

I've since found out that Parrot are discontinued, and that a Bury system may be better.

I need something for a 2012 Insignia that I recently bought as a daily, it doesn't have integrated BT unfortunately! With the dash configuration I can't fit like a Pioneer Apple play head unit or other double din, it would need to be one of these full size android thingamebobs that I don't really fancy.

You can get fascia adaptors for the insignia - but if you don’t want the complexity or cost then something like the alpine ezi dab/pure highway (they are the same unit just rebadged) can give Bluetooth and dab, and you only need a cigarette lighter socket and an aux socket for it to work

Yeah I have seen fascia adapters but there’s no depth in the insignia for fitting a generic head unit, it has to be a shallow fit from what I can see??

I will have a look at the Alpine and Pure Highway options, but I don’t have an aux socket either! 🤦‍♂️

You will definitely be able to get an aftermarket aux for the existing headunit, and because it’s aftermarket it can be hidden behind the dash for the sole purpose of plugging in the dab unit, then you can wire a 12v socket behind there so all the wiring is hidden.
