1991 Alpine system, is there a market?
Discussion
While clearing out some old stuff from my parents’ house I’ve found my 1990s Alpine system. Is there market for this sort of period kit?
It’s originally from 1991 with a 7294r head unit (where the whole unit slid out of the dash) and 5952v cd changer. A friend bought it in 1991 for nearly a £1000. which was a serious wedge to spend back then. I bought it off him a few years later and added a pair of Alpine sce4624g speakers. I kept the original manuals and bills.
I took it out of my car 1995 and it’s been in a box ever since. Planning to rig up a power supply and see if it still works.
If anyone could point me in the direction of a dealer or any suggestions of possible uses etc.
Otherwise I might set it up as some kind of retro sound system in my study or use it as an excuse to buy a car to match it’s age!

Hasn't sold, but https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Rare-Vintage-Old-School...
Seems it's a Jag XJ220 OEM offering!

chuck it on ebay, use 'retro' and 'rare' along with 'vintage' in the title. Price it like its really hard to find. Include 'OEM for xj220' and stuff.
Start it at £250 - you never know.
I like your thinking. So rather than a lot of wedge we’re now talking wedge beard, flat white, hipster retro market Start it at £250 - you never know.

You can clearly see the stereo, i took a screenshot thinking of this thread, but i can't upload it with the work computer (thumbthing blocked).
but, you can now also say 'as seen on top gear'
you could even get some masking tape, put it on the front of it, take a pic and say it's the very stereo from that episode...
