DAB aerial wiring
Discussion
Hi all
My new (to me) legacy estate has a magnetic DAB aerial on the roof which looks a bit unsightly, I would like to replace it, ideally by cutting the wiring in the boot and attaching a replacement rather than re-running the wiring the whole length of the car and messing around removing interior panels.
My question is, are the wires to a DAB aerial just normal copper wires which can be cut and attached or are they something more fancy like fibre ?
Thanks

Might be worth trying a DAM/FM splitter cable and just using the standard FM aerial?

It’s normal screened cable that can be cut and joined. Be careful with dab/ fm splitters as some will only work with non amplified fm aerials . I use them and the posh ones actually amplify both the fm and dab. Whilst not exactly attractive, the stick on ones are quite good and also are amplified can be mounted in the front screen.
