Hi all,

anyone know of any alarms you can set off yourself with the press of a button.

or any cheap £500 cars that have this as standard?

Yes and its really fking annoying.

Its right next to the boot release button on my Corvette and a few times ive rummaged in my pocket to unlock the boot and have set the fricking alarms off instead.

Totally pointless invention.

Any 2004 onwards Volvo. If you press the triangle button twice quickly on the key fob, the horn goes off beeping constantly, and the indicators flash quickly too. Not sure how close/far you need to be to activate it, but it does work on all Volvo's from 2004 onwards. Its apparently supposed to be a panic alarm button on the key.

If your car has an alarm already you coul get a 433mhz control module and wire it to open or close a door circuit, the alarm will think the door has opened

No problem. I'm intrigued to the rationale behind this and what you're going to use this for? Anything on the lines of frustrating some neighbours who have been a nightmare for you...? Or something else...

It certainly does. I managed to set mine off with my key in my pocket laugh
The New Beetle I used to have had a similar arrangement, but that set off the alarm siren rather than the horn.
