Hi, got a bit of a annoying issue at the moment with my new audio set up,up to date i have changed HU installed a Amp and replaced all 4 speakers ,up to today i was running the rear speakers from Amp from channel B and the front were being run from the HU i had no issues with whinning noise etc ....so today i i connected the front speakers to the Amp and all is working that is apart from a annoying whine which sounds like alternator whine ,now if i take the front RCA out of the Amp the noise goes so it apears that adding the front RCA cable to the system is causing the issue ,so would i be correct in starting at either replacing the RCA (and i have to admit that i havce run both sets of cable down the same way as the power cable )but as said earlier i had no issues until i introduced the front rca to the system so would running the second set cause this issue..Any help would be apreiated. Thanks

Update on my issue, i purchased a Ground loop isolator and upon connecting the device it removed the alternator whine. When the weather is better i am going to lok at trying to improve the ground point at the amp ..

Where is the amp located? I find the seat belt mounts to be a good place to ground to. Grind off all the paint first. The ground should be at least the same gauge as the power cable and as short a run as possible from the amp. Ideally all powered components should be ground to the same point.
