Firstly, thanks for reading, this really is the best source of wisdom for those of us with vehicular obsessions!
Now the sob story. On Friday 13th November (couldn't make it up) crims jemmied into our home and lifted they keys for my 2009 Street Triple (resplendent in Roulette Green) and my Scuba blue Audi S1, my very first 4 star plus Evo car after 30+ years of driving. Loved that thing. Anyway replacements are coming and I'd like your advice on trackers. I would prefer not to have to pay a subscription but I am looking for devices that would maximise the possibility of return should the worst happen again. Any thoughts?

Mtrack. I think that’s where my money would go. Check there YouTube videos out for their recovery stories. Quite amazing.

Ah that has the "Secured by Design" award. My police officer mate was talking about that. Thanks for the suggestion.

Do you really want your stolen cars returned or would you rather have a replacement.?

I have personally been through this and got a much loved car back ( slightly damaged and abused)... it never felt the same and I sold it and bought another, it soured the experience for me. In future I don’t want a car back if it’s stolen.

In general its the quality of installation that denotes if the unit is found
Most of the installers are paid far less than you imagine todo the installation
Offer the installer a bonus todo a through job
One extremely well known company phoned me up and asked if i would install for them the rate
£60.00 for a cat7 £85.00 for a catS5 (2020 prices)
My reply rather take my wife out to lunch please dont phone me back.

I’ve had MTrack recommended to me from a number of sources and that’s where I would look if I needed something.
