My wife just rang with the above question.
She's around 30 miles from home.
Do I go and meet her with a Gallon?
Or will she make it home.
A quick Google didn't bring anything up!
Its a rear engined, three cylinder 1 litre I think, made by M.B. Same as a Two4Two.
Not too many around so no info. Nothing in her handbook.
Anyone?

In my experience fuel gauges are very pessimistic. I don’t know about this model but my car lasts about 100 miles after the fuel light comes on.

Are there no fuel stations on the way home?

We've just got back, I didn't want to risk it, I took a gallon and met her.
The next time its low I'll go out with a can and drive it until it dies!
At least then I'll know.
Digital stuff?
As already said 100 miles is possible, but I've had cars that have only gone 20.
It all depends on where the float sits and stops. And if it was bent on assembley!

Tell her to drive to the nearest petrol station and fill the damn thing up.

Your 7 hours too late to the Party, but thank you for your advice.
She didn't have her Bag with her.

Fair enough. Your original post just rang a bell with me - I know a number of wives of colleagues / friends that have never filled a car up in their life. The husband does it

To be fair I use her car now and again. And if it's anywhere near empty, I'll fill it and say nothing about it!

For Mercedes-Benz as well?
I was under the impression the Two4two, sorry the Forfour was the same car.
