Poor DAB + FM reception suddenly.
Discussion
My car has an aftermarket Kenwood DAB radio in it with an aerial that sticks to the windscreen.
Up until now it's all been fine (been in since well before I got the car) but in the past month, DAB drops out constantly (when it actually connects) and then rarely ever reconnects and FM doesn't seem to work at all. I've tried retuning etc, nothing seems to work.
Is there anything obvious I can eliminate?
Very annoying! Thanks.

Unplug your phone charger
Have you fitted any cheapo led lights
Rear de mister / heated seats on.
Same behaviour with car running and not running?
I did have an Anker 2 USB charger plugged in, just unplugged so will test if that has helped later.Have you fitted any cheapo led lights

It has some cheapo LED lights on the front, but they are turned off and were never an issue before.
Rear heated screen doesn't seem to change its behaviour.
Same behaviour when car is running and not running, yes.
Just tried it, no change to DAB, it won't connect to anything.
FM it will pick up about 4 stations and only seems to cycle through a narrow frequency band, not sure if that's normal? No guarantee it'll stay connected to them as soon as I start driving later though.
Very odd really, it was fine a while ago.

I use fm dab splitters that use a non amplified original aerial. They will work with amplified aerials, just not guaranteed as to longevity. Do you think you might have one fitted? I have used maybe 200 and had only two failed, drops both dab and fm/am. A simple test is to shove a bit of wire, a metre long in place of the dab and normal aerial into the head unit, do a seek, of course it will not be optimised but will give you an idea.
If you have one fitted they are normally a box with one input, two outputs and a power supply.
