I’m looking at fitting front and rear dashcams. As I’m new to this are their any tips? In particular what is a a good brand, pricing point and fixing it via the cigarette lighter point v a fixed and hidden connection?

My advice is you want something fitted discreetly and in my view simple is best

I hardwire mine in as stuff in fag sockets is untidy, wiggles loose, passengers etc will unplug to charge phones

The only feature I now insist on is parking mode, it caught the bellend who whacked my parked car outside my folks. If we had t have had the footage neighbour x would have played on my dads mind for years as the culprit, it was a random passer by

Apps and stuff are Great, but unless you are a YouTube uploaded of people not indicating when lost, how often do you really need to pull footage

Thanks, what kind of camera do you have and did you fit it yourself.

So true about the peace of mind!
