Okay, I have bought a car in which the previous owner had Carplay.

There is a convenient female USB and iPhone adaptor in the centre console. I presumed that I would plug in and go.

It hasn't worked like that.

I am presuming I'd need to select "media" on the entertainment system, but Carplay isn't showing as an option.

Point and laugh if you like, but can someone explain how it works?

Many thanks.

Check in your iPhone settings - general - CarPlay and make sure it’s turned on

Then in the car menu it’s not usually under media, it will be a separate button all together

It should just come up when you put the ignition on, In my Audi it takes 5 mins or so

The answer is......drumroll....... you have to press the media button twice.

If you need me to help you with any of your tech nick, you need only to ask. wink
