Is there a solar trickle charger that works?
Discussion
Hi during all this Covid times, I've had to replace a couple of batteries on my cars and the new batteries have also discharged.
Yes I could chase the parasitic draining, but surely there is a reliable company who make a solar charger, that doesn't then go on to end up draining the battery. I've looked on Amazon and also Ebay and looking at the negative reviews these seem to be unreliable draining the battery they are supposed to be charging.
Does anyone have a recommendation that will work if hardwired to the battery terminals and keep connected at all times?
I was thinking of this Sealey SPP01 Solar Power Panel , it might work inside my XF as the battery is in the boot, but will it be enough at 1.5watts. It won't work for the MX5, as that one needs hanging outside the garage and it isn't waterproof.
All the links to eBay sellers have gone stale in any searches I've done. How I'd get the Alfa GT sorted I don't know, as the cigarette lighter isn't live.
TIA
