Tom Tom Go app update-all data lost , route not possible

Android phone just updated tom tom go app- first time I've tried to use since lockdown
All places lost, including my places. recent destination. home etc
Route planning- just says route not possible, only one I've got to work is 3 miles away
With no route- no speed limit display and no camera warnings

Fired off an e-mail to Tom Tom but looking at their forum looks as if lots of problems with new app
Anyone else had same problem, got resolution to it
