Can anyone help?

After removing and then refitting my car battery the alarm went off and wouldn't respond to the fobs, it then self locked and locked me out.
It's a Clifford concept 50x which I had fitted in 1998, it came with a lifetime warranty.
I have found the unit, checked fuses. The alarm is armed and still not responding to the fobs or valet code, it still works as when the bonnet or boot are opened it sets the alarm off.

I have found out that it could have had a voltage surge and that the fobs need reprogramming to the alarm but I can't find contact details for Clifford and my local fitter has advised me to bin it and fit a new one.

That’s a pretty good innings for an aftermarket alarm by anyone’s standards. Lifetime warranty are rarely that.

Clifford still exist but I doubt any product now 20 years old is worth investing in. I would move to something newer, that offers better protection and fewer problems.

Thanks for your thoughts, I am having it replaced with a new system.
