Stripping apart bits of dash and removed the old radio, missing faceplate of course, and its a pioneer p8800r.

There is a mystery black box just below it wedged under some center console plastics, pretty stuck and wont come free without console removal. Is this related to the radio in any way as I cant find any images of the box online on the same car. Seems to have phone/internet ports of some sort.

Tracker? Size is similar to one I had around 2005

Actually which car is it? Could it be a car phone? The telephone jack leading toward the rear makes me wonder

Last tracker I found was a solid metal box from a car only 3 years newer, it had a standalone battery and only 2 leads, the mass of them made me think something else.

Just take the powered hacksaw to the rest of the console, it ought to slide right out...

99% certain that's the module to integrate a car phone.

Looks like an old Motorola junction box.

Unplug it and take it out...
