Hard wiring dash cam causing GPS signal to drop.
Discussion
Hi all, long shot here....
I have a 2016 ford fiesta, and i bought a kit to hard wire my dash cam into the fuse box for 24/7 power.
It works but i noticed my GPS signal had dropped out. Anyway, after a bit of troubleshooting, the second i plug the hard wire kit into the fuse box, regardless of which fuse i use, gps signal vanishes.... unplug it, it comes back.
Would anyone have an explanation / possible solution for me?
Thanks!

Interference from either the voltage adaptor (usually 12v down to 5v), or from the supply wire. You can use a wire with ferrite cores either end to suppress RF interference, so worth trying that first (they're cheap!)... or buying a better quality voltage adaptor (which may mean buying a whole new kit). You could maybe also try covering the adaptor part in metal foil or similar, but be careful about it touching anything electrical.
If you've got DAB, you'll probably find that drops, too...
