Anyone give me some pointers. It's not a life or death situation, more of an annoyance.

2011 Ford Focus.

I used to have an Samsung Android phone. When it received a call in the car, handsfree on BT the radio would mute and I could hear the phone ring via the speakers. I would answer via the phone icon on the steering wheel. This is the way it should be.

I've now got an iPhone. Connects to BT OK. However when a call is received the phone itself rings then after a couple of rings the speakers will pick up the ring and speakers will ring, not as loud as previously and the radio doesn't mute. I also get an Accept/Reject option showing on the Infosystem screen which I never had before. I then operate the phone icon on the steering wheel as previously.

Because the radio does not mute I don't always hear the ring tone and miss a call. I also obviously don't watch the Infosystem screen constantly, only if I think I've heard something.

Obviously this is some type of compatibility issue between the Infosystem (radio/CD etc) and the iPhone. Any ideas? I've looked at all the settings on the iPhone that I can find and can't find any obvious settings on the Infosystem.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

on the phone go into settings --> general --> accessibility --> touch --> call audio routing. which option is checked? I'll guess it's Automatic or speaker? try selecting Bluetooth Headset. HTH.
