Android HU fitting in Manchester
Discussion
Hi all, so I'm considering purchasing an android HU to replace the antique NTG2.5 Comand in my Merc. I'm a bit scared of the install to be honest, especially as I have the Harmon Kardon system to contend with as well. Does anyone know of an ICE fitter in Manchester who knows his stuff with Android units? Thanks in advance!
Hi,
You'll need to ring up auto electrician type places for the most part as all of the reputable, experienced and knowledgeable car audio installers most likely wouldn't (read won't) want to install a cheaply made poor quality and reliability head unit. The reason is that the chances of something going wrong with the unit and you going back to them complaining is too high for them to risking their reputation.
Cheers, Dennis!

I fitted an android unit to a vauxhall and it was a piece of cake but the trick was getting one that was canbus and with the respective connectors already fitted. Plug and play then. Brand was Pumpkin.
I have considered one for my Merc w204 (2013) but decided against it as all the units seem unbranded and impossible to tell apart.
