Later this year, we're going to be doing a pretty mega road trip. Maybe 10k miles in 6 weeks.
I'd like to have a dashcam setup for 2 purposes, but I don't know if what I want exists.
The first purpose is tocreate waste of time YouTube videos have a record in case of an accident. Ideally, I'd have both front and rear facing cameras.
The second however is that I'd like to be able to create a time-lapse video of our journey (this can just be the forward facing).
Is there a product out there that will do this?

Have a look here. The recommendations are usually pretty reliable;

I know they're not dual camera but I've put Blueskysea B1W's in 4 different cars for different people. Not had a single problem with them.

You don't say where you are going but just be aware that in certain countries dashcams are illegal. Also, some may have integrated speed camera warnings & those are illegal in certain countries.Heidfirst said:

USA
dashcams are illegal in some states https://www.nextbase.com/en-us/hub/are-dash-cams-l...I've done this a couple of times for trips to the south of France.
I think most dash cams have a time-lapse mode, the Viofo A118 and A119 models I've used certainly do.
I'd consider using a second front facing camera for the timelapse, then you can just stitch all the clips together, and you'll still get footage in case of an accident from the other camera.
For reference, I've got a video which was 1FPS captured over 24 hours, comes in at about 4.8GB in 720p. Another which was captured over 19 hours at 5FPS, edited to play back at 60FPS, comes in at 8.7GB in 1080p
