Anyone know of any basic SIM card GPS trackers that work well? Seems to be a plethora of Chinese kit knocking about, a bit of a minefield!

Just want something to wire in, hide, and forget about until you need to top up the SIM. Cheers

The cheapest ones are based on the TK102 chipset I seem to remember.
You'll find that some of them only support 2G, which means that using the Three network (or any of its MVNOs like Smarty or iD) is not an option, since they don't provide 2G.

I'm thinking of getting this one, seems to get decent reviews and after sales are good.. 5 quid a month isn't too bad at all either.. https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07KJRGJKT/ref=cm_sw_r...

I fitted a MT600 Chinese tracker in the past with opensource tracking software that runs on my server at home. The software was a pain to setup bit once working hasn't missed a beat and is free to run with one of the 3 PAYG sims with 200MB of date free per month.
