I have had two vehicles stolen by break in’s to the house to obtain keys.
Security Lights, PIR alarm , CCTV fitted, secure windows and doors fitted, bollards in drive and around one vehicle wheel clamp and steering clamp now in use.
Thinking about fitting automotive Ghost system to vehicle. Any body any experience of this system? Can it be over read and deactivated?
Thanks

Police think it was the same people, both times in the house and keys stolen . Some painful lessons learnt . First theft hit bbc eve news as my mother in laws ashes were in the car! They returned and hung the ashes on the front door handle about 30 mins after stealing the car! Think MIL would have seen the funny side of it.

I have fitted nearly 200 GHOST's and had no issues, they just need installing correctly, they cannot be traced or read, definitely the only way to beat car theft!

Vehicles are easily immobilised with a switch or 2

Alarms and immobilisers are fitted to satisfy insurance companies

Sorry to hear abut the break-ins, these are becoming all too common. mad

I've had a Ghost fitted to my T6 for about 18 months, entering the code is second nature for me now.

There's a valet mode or you can simply change the code to something easy to remember if the car is at the garage and then change it back at a later date.

As above, use an approved installer, make sure they register the install with Autowatch.

And if I'm perfectly honest I'd seriously consider what kind of car I leave on show to the great unwashed, if I was in a high risk area I'd be driving a yellow Fiat 500.
