Head unit lagging. 2016 Ford Smax.

Good evening all,

I have a 2016 plate Ford SMax, and the touchscreen for the Radio/satnav/climate control etc does work, but if you use the touchscreen, you have to wait approx 20-30 seconds for it to respond. I have carried out a master reset of the system and attempted to download the latest software updates, but it won't complete to download.

Any ideas or assistance would be hugely appreciated please.

Is there a flash drive or anything Bluetooth connected

Hi,

No, nothing is connected. You can connect via USB or bluetooth, but this issue occurred without anything connected to it.

Does it ever function normally?

Everything functions, but there is just this huge lag, when you try to use the touchscreen. The radio/satnav/climate all works, but it is just the distraction/frustration of the lagging.

Is it still under warranty? Maybe it needs to go to the dealer for them to update the software (I know you've tried)
