Tracking Devices for trailers/caravans

Has anyone ever installed a tracking device onto a trailer?

Ideally we would like to install a tracker into our trailer so in case it gets pinched we know where it is, we will hook it up to a leisure battery that hopefully will go off if it runs out of battery or similar.

Does anyone have any recommendations on what they have installed?

look at tk 102 or the newer "look like a relay" ones

No the trailer is a fully enclosed trailer. I just noticed alot of these things seem to be marketed for caravans.

Not one myself, but AutomatricsMTrack and some of the stuff recovered on their Youtube videos looks positive.

I know there are trailers with trackers installed, so definitely there must be a suitable tracker for yours.

I have a DataTag on mine. It's got UV markings, a hidden transponder and two other gubbins. All registered on a police database

They do some times have offers on Fleabay, I paid £40 for the tracker and its £4 per month for unlimited tracking. The useful thing is that you can set up a Geo fence around the storage area, it then emails you if there is a movement.
