VW Polo Infotainment Update
Discussion
Hi,
I have a VW Polo 2014 1.2 TSI DSG, and the infotainment is really glitchy (touchscreen not working, switching radio stations, making random phone calls etc.).
Anyway, I took it to my local VW and they diagnosed it as needing a software update which would cost £102.00.
The car has 12 months Das Welt Auto used car warranty on it, and they say a software update isn't covered under it. They also wouldn't tell me what the update to the infotainment system did as "it's just a download from volkswagen and we don't know what it does".
Is this normal to pay £102 for an update, and does anyone know if they're correct about it not being covered under warranty?
Cheers.

Looks like updates can be downloaded from VW Germany
