Folks,

Commute is increasing significantly soon so I’m looking for recommendations for the above. Mainly for playing music through Bluetooth but like the look of some of the Pure kits.

Have capacity to either plug into aux socket or use transmitter...

I used a fairly basic unit from Halfords in my last car. There are better ones now, with bluetooth:

I tried the transmitter thing - don't! - Use the aux port.

If you cover some miles, varying radio frequencies encroach and you have to retune. Bit of an archaic method of getting music to your head unit.

Check out the Bovee 1000 Bluetooth connector. If you've the right connectors and the Aux port for an iPod then you're in business.

I've got a Majority Radio A10, first one went wrong, but Amazon refunded with no problem. Not the easiest to use, and I wish you could turn the brightness of the screen down, but it's very cheap.

I can even use the inbuilt microphone to make phone calls at 70mph with the roof down and people can hear me, amazing really.

Just make sure you register for the extended warranty with the manufacturer I guess
