Hi,
All I want for our family hack is a reversing camera so that my wife can feel more confident reversing it. Its B Class w245. It didn't come from the factory with navigation so the retro fit reversing camera kits wouldn't work.
I assumed I'd need an extra screen stuck on the dash but came across the above (and several other similar) on ebay.
If it worked it would be neater than a stuck on the dash.
It is difficult to tell from the very generic information how easy it would be to install and it seems very good value. Almost too good to be true...
Your thoughts and advice gratefully received. Thanks

Should be fine
Chinese stuff can be a bit slow to work and they do lockup
I would extentend the memory wire and hide it so you can reset the unit etc
but ifits just for a camera
Will look the part
As for fitting you need to check the original mercedes unit incase it has a fibre optic
This can be for cd changer but more importantly an amp
then you can check against chinese offering

I've fitted a few of the generic 2-DIN Android head units, and my mate had one of the "custom surround" ones like the one you're looking at in his Audi.
They do what they say on the tin, though I find in practice they're not as slick as a factory integrated system, it is very much like having a small android tablet in a housing in many ways.
As broncoupe says, look at how the factory system is wired in to identify any potential headaches from "premium" upgrades and the like on the original setup (the aforementioned Audi had the Bose audio system in it, and it was a bit of a pain to get that to play nicely. Can't remember exactly how he resolved it).
