I have a Nissan Micra k12 2003 1.2L car. It’s my first car.

I have a accessory socket, I thought it was a normal cigarette lighter or similar, so I bought a usb thing for it and when I put it in the slot it’s too small for the slot. Not sure what I can do or if I can get an adapter for it or what not?

Any help or links to a usb thing for it would be great, thanks

There are two different sizes, see half way down this page size A and size B:

When I previously came across the large size I bent the spring tabs inside the socket out slightly and used a folded up piece of paper to ensure the plug stayed in.

This is the inside of it, I tried bending the metal side bits out but it’s still fitting well enough, also isn’t going in far enough

Is the car a UK car? I also wonder if that socket has been fitted by a previous owner.
Either way it is there so if wedging the plug does not work then it may be a case of replacing the socket with a correctly sized one.
