Hi,

I bought a 2006 Civic at the weekend and it has a Honda 6 disc multichanger in the armrest. I want to swap this for a 3.5mm aux in or maybe a USB in. It would seem that I can remove the cd changer lead and swap it for a 3.5mm in, is anyone able to confirm please? Swapping it seems to be a bit of a ballache with lots of the dash being removed, if it was a couple of screws I'd have a look myself but don't want to dismantle the dash if it's not possible.

Thank you

sjg

I fitted an iPod adaptor adaptor in mine way back - it used the CD changer port.

It looks pretty drastic but it's quite easy to remove trim and get the radio out. £7 for a set of trim tools on amazon makes it even easier to do without marking anything. https://www.civinfo.com/wiki/index.php/Info_-_gett...

Thank you, looking around it seems that some of the guides talk about soldering resistors etc but I think this is if there's no cd changer connected (which mine does), can you confirm at all?

I had the same car and situation.

There are very detailed guides online but yeah quite a bit of interior removal but it plugs right in the back of the Hu. I had my 3.5 coming out of the cubby hole under stereo. Down side is it had to stay open as I fed it through on top of it rather than drilling it.

With the effort involved I would seriously consider putting in a double din android unit at the same time which will be infinitely better overall.
