Best speed camera warning?
Discussion
Got my first speeding ticket in over 25 years, yay. My fault (thought it was a 60, was a 50), no matter that it was completely safe. More here if you're interested.

So given that one more of these and I'm halfway to losing my clean for quarter of a century licence, what's the best speed camera warning device these days? (Apart from being more observant about speed limits, obviously!)

Google Maps now has crowd-sourced speed camera warnings.
'Radar detectors' aren't much use as mobile camera vans (much harder to avoid than fixed cameras IME) use laser devices.

I understand that there is a GPS based type where people with similar units hit a button when they see it and it alerts anyone else approaching the same stretch?Google Maps now has crowd-sourced speed camera warnings.

Another very happy Waze user - it's been remarkably good for the last 4 or so years I've used it on Shed and Mrs Greyhead's various whizzy bits of Japanese transport which are remarkably good at exceeding the speed limit.
One of the magnetic mounts that clips into your air vents (about £3 on Amazon) and a cigarette lighter charger will be vital as Waze will eat your battery due to its use of your GPS. I'd recommend getting a good cigarette lighter charger for a few quid more as they tend to have better interference suppression and so shouldn't kill your radio signal.
Good luck with the speeding issue (-:
