Cobra 8510 immobiliser- do they contain relays

Long story short, I have a jap import with an aftermarket cobra 8510 immobiliser in it. It’s causing (I think) intermittent problems with my ignition
It feels like it’s a relay sticking, but does it contain a relay to switch the circuitry
Ordinarily I’d get up into the dash and take it apart but I simply don’t have the time for investigation, plus I don’t want to disable the car too early on in the game

- GND connections (2 wires to be connected in different places - I guess these go to exposed bodywork like other ground connections)
- +15 Ignition Live Wire (2 wires to be connected in different places)
- +30 Permanent Positive
- 1st immobilisation (2 wires)
- 2nd immobilisation (2 wires)
