Did a PH search but couldn't find anything useful. Checked out the dashcams thread and couldn't find anything there.
So Amazon has a range of prices from about £10 to £80 or more.
What's the sweet price point I should aim for? Is there anything important to remember? I have rear warning sensors so don't need that functionality. Guidelines might be good, but as I have never had them I might not miss them. Thanks

Hi there.

In case you are still looking.

Prices vary depending on the make and model of the vehicle. Generally, for a decent quality product, aim for £70.00 and up.

Make sure you check the warranty period, whether it is PAL or NTSC and the length of cabling included. The connecting leads should be standard RCA but double check this.

If you are connecting into a satnav or any dash fitted screen, make sure it has an aux video in. Some do, some don't. Without this, you will not be able to connect the camera to it.

Was about to post the same question. There are some very cheap reversing cameras on e-bay and of course, they promise to be the bees knees...but I don't want one that breaks after two minutes.

Having said that I might try el cheapo and if I don't reverse into a wall as I did a few days ago, I will be happy.

Shed and Mrs Greyhead's Shed have had one of these fitted for around six months. No signs of water ingress despite best efforts when washing, biblical rain, etc:

https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07KC674FJ/

Mine is wired into a rear view mirror which has a screen in it, and Mrs Greyhead's is wired into her aftermarket headunit which has a screen and inputs for a reversing camera.

(As always, just my 0.0002p-worth)
