Tracker for MK2 Escort

I'm looking for a tracker for a Mk2 escort estate. I live in Portugal, cars are getting nicked all around me so it is only a matter of time. I have looked online and on the search here but cant find much up to date info and the options for trackers are huge. I garage the car and have a very basic power cut off switch hidden, so I'll need to connect direct to the battery. So what are my options, ebay is a minefield. I'm guessing the cheap ones dont work?
