Hi everyone I'm posting on behalf of a mate he has a 2004 renault clio. He has just bought an aftermarket stereo, fitted it and he says it doesn't work something to do with the wire's in the car I couldn't really understand what he was saying at this point as the conversation was on the phone with bad signal. Anyway he went to Halfords and got them to take a look and they said he needs an ignition feed. Anyone shed some light on what they mean and how he can get the stereo working? They also said it will take about half a day to get the new stereo working which I think must be bullsh*t. Any advice asap much appreciated.

He probably needs one of these, plus the corresponding lead for whatever make of stereo he has fitted

If he wants to sell his old one then let me know.

By coincidence I’m buying a 2004 Clio with an aftermarket stereo and I’d prefer the original one

His original stereo doesn't work properly it cuts out regularly apparently something about a code needed? That's why he bought the aftermarket one.
