Car remote key not working?

Hello all

I have a Peugeot and noticed the little red part of the key fob fell out, so I poped it back in, it would not turn car on. I looked around where the red part fell out and all I could find was this, but not sure if this is anything to do with the car key? I kept it need to iginition when trying to turn car on but car still wouldnt turn on. ANyone know if this is part of the key?
