Seat ibiza 2 button key fob wont unlcock of or turn alarm of

Hi can anybody help me asap,
So i recently bought a seat ibiza fr 1.9 tdi 2005, when i get the car i was told that the key fob need linking back up to the car as stopped working when battery was changed, so i went online and tried everyway to link the key up to the car but no luck so i went online and found a local car locksmith, he came out and had a look and still had no look with it. When i press the button on the key the red light will flash and when i get in the car if i dont put the key in ignition quick enough it sets the alarm off anyone got any ideas please thanks

I have done but for 270 for a key seems abit steep to me just fort someone on here might off had a similar problem and sorted it
